The Children and I in Winter

On assignment from Donna Steiner, one of my professors, I wrote this poem today.  The poem was to be structured in  7-7-5-5 syllable fashion.

The Children and I in Winter

We’ve got snow up to our ears.
Oswego New York is cold,
six ear lobes are blue,
the wind finds us all.
